How do I use the new VouchedFor widgets?

Our rebranding of rep tools means that we have built new versions of existing tools, and in some instances, we have replaced multiple existing versions with one single version.
What you need to do:
We will be automatically switching over to the new widgets on the 19th April. You won’t have to do anything, as the switch will happen for you.
However, we have made the new widgets available to you from today. If you want to access the new widgets, then you have two options:
- Preferred Option: Simply download the new version that you will see in accounts, and replace the existing code you have for the existing widget, with the new code from the new widget. It will render the new widget.
- Alternative: You can add a ‘version flag’ to your existing widget URLs, which will render the new widget. (Instructions below)
After 19th April, the old versions will no longer be supported.
Instructions for adding the version flag for new widgets to existing URLs:
The version flag exists in two forms:
&version=vf2023
or
?version=vf2023
Depending on the existing specific widget URL construction, you will need to add either the &version=vf2023 OR the ?version=vf2023 flags. Please see below examples.

You can see we have added the “?version=vf2023” flag at the end of the first “src” attribute on line 2.
Where the ‘?” operator already exists in the URL, we have to add the “&version=vf2023” flag, like so:

You can see we have in this case added the “&version=vf2023” flag on line 11, due to the presence of the “?” operator already in the URL.

“I’m really excited about the new widgets but I can’t see them?”
- Have you downloaded a new rep tool, or, added the version flag to your existing widget code?
- Please see instructions above and ensure you have followed them correctly
- You might need to close your browser and reopen it, and/or log out and log back into your account
“I used to have [x] widget on my site, but now I see something different?”
We have consolidated some of our old widgets (the star rating centred, star rating left-aligned and star rating blue-background) into one ‘Simple Star Rating’ widget. This means that, if you’re using any one of these current widgets (or all of them), they will be replaced with the same, new star rating widget.
“I used to see a blue background widget, a centrally aligned widget and a left aligned widget in my rep tools but now I only see one single widget repeated?”

“My rep tools aren’t working.”
Please check:
- What you were seeing before
- What you are expecting to see now
- Have you downloaded the new widget from the account portal?
- Have you amended the existing URL with the new version flag?
- Please ensure you have used the correct one in the correct place (See instructions above)
“Why can’t I see my historical certificates of excellence?”
We have made only the current certificate of excellence available to accommodate our new branding. We may restore historical certificates in the future if there is sufficient demand to do so.
