How to add a VouchedFor Email Signature

Your email signature is a great opportunity to promote your VouchedFor profile. By adding a VouchedFor email signature and hyperlinking it to your profile this ensures that every client or prospect you email will have the opportunity to have a look at your profile. 

To start:

Click the download button underneath the Email Signature design you would like to use, from the “Reputation Tools” tab on your account. 

NB: As and when you receive additional reviews, the email signature design where it lists the number of reviews received will need to be updated. 

How to find your profile URL
  1. Log onto your VouchedFor Account (https://accounts.vouchedfor.co.uk/login)
  2. Click the “Home” tab on the left hand side
  3. To the right of your profile picture click the “VIEW YOUR PROFILE” button
  4. This will open your profile into another tab where you can copy the URL from the search bar of the webpage. 

Instructions for Outlook, Outlook Web Page, Gmail, Yahoo and Apple Mail

Outlook - Desktop 

Outlook: newest version

Outlook: older versions

  1. Open Outlook and create a new email message.
  2. Click on "Signature" in the "Include" section of the toolbar.
  3. Select "Signatures" from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click on "New" to create a new signature.
  5. Give your new signature a name and click "OK."
  6. In the "Edit signature" section, type the text you want to appear in your signature.
  7. Click on the "Insert Image" icon (it looks like a mountain with a sun).
  8. Select the image you want to use from your files and click "Insert."
  9. Click on the image to select it, then click on the "Hyperlink" icon (it looks like a chain link).
  10. In the "Insert Hyperlink" window, enter your profile URL
  11. Click "OK" to close the "Insert Hyperlink" window.
  12. Click "OK" to save your new signature
  13. Your signature is now ready to use with your new image and hyperlink. You can test it out by sending an email to yourself. 

Note: Images are not able to be resized on the desktop version of Outlook. However, the size can be edited on the web version of the site. 

Outlook - Web Page

  1. Open Outlook and go to "File" > "Options" > "Mail" > "Signatures".
  2. Select the signature you want to edit or create a new one.
  3. Click on the "Image" icon in the signature editor toolbar (it looks like a mountain with a sun).
  4. Select the image file you want to add from your computer's file explorer and click "Insert".
  5. Once the image is inserted, you can adjust its size by clicking and dragging the corners of the image or by right-clicking on the image and selecting "Size and Position". 
  6. To hyperlink the image, click on the image to select it, then click on the "Link" icon in the toolbar (it looks like a chain link). Alternatively, you can right-click on the image and select "Hyperlink".
  7. In the "Insert Hyperlink" window, enter your VouchedFor profile URL in the "Address" field. Click "OK" to save the hyperlink.
  8. Finally, click "Save" to save your signature changes.
  9. Your signature is now ready to use with your new image and hyperlink. You can test it out by sending an email to yourself. 

Gmail

  1. Open your Gmail account and click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen. Select "See All Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  2. Scroll down to the "Signature" section and click on the box to enable the signature feature.
  3. If you already have a signature, select the one you want to add the image to, or create a new signature by clicking on the "Create New" button.
  4. Click on the "Insert Image" icon (which looks like a mountain) in the toolbar of the signature editor.
  5. A pop-up window will appear where you can upload your image. You can choose to 
  6. Once you have uploaded your image, click on it to select it. Then, click on the "Link" icon (which looks like a chain link) in the toolbar.
  7. In the "Insert Link" pop-up window, enter the URL to your VouchedFor profile in the "To what URL should this link go?" field. 
  8. You can also choose whether you want the link to open in a new window by checking the "Open this link in a new window" box.
  9. Click "OK" to save your changes and close the pop-up window.
  10. Review your signature to make sure everything looks good, and then click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the Settings page.
  11. Your signature is now ready to use with your new image and hyperlink. You can test it out by sending an email to yourself. 

Yahoo 

  1. Log in to your Yahoo Mail account and click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner, then select "More Settings" from the drop-down menu.
  2. Click on "Writing email" in the left-hand menu, then scroll down to the "Signature" section.
  3. In the signature editor, type in the text you want to include in your signature, such as your name, job title, and contact information.
  4. To insert an image, click on the "Insert image" icon in the signature editor toolbar. 
  5. Once the image is inserted, you can resize it by clicking and dragging the corners of the image.
  6. To hyperlink the image, click on the image to select it and then click on the "Link" icon in the signature editor toolbar. In the "Insert link" dialog box, enter your profile URL and click "OK".
  7. Finally, click "Save" at the bottom of the "Signature" section to save your signature with the new image and hyperlink.
  8. That's it! Your new email signature with the image and hyperlink should now be ready to use in your Yahoo emails. You can test it out by sending an email to yourself. 

Apple Mail 

  1. Open Apple Mail and click on "Mail" in the top menu bar.
  2. Select "Preferences" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click on the "Signatures" tab.
  4. Select the email account you want to create a signature for.
  5. Click on the "+" button to create a new signature.
  6. Give your signature a name and enter any text you want to include in the signature.
  7. To add an image, drag and drop the image file into the signature box.
  8. NB: It is unfortunately not possible to directly add a hyperlink to an Image in Apple Mail’s signature editor. Instead, we suggest adding your profile as text underneath the image. Such as “View my profile here”. 
  9. Highlight the text you want to turn into a hyperlink.
  10. Click on the "Edit" button in the toolbar.
  11. In the pop-up window, click on the "Link" tab.
  12. Enter the URL of your profile.
  13. Click "OK" to save the changes.
  14. That's it! Your new email signature should now be ready, you can test it out by sending an email to yourself.
